Hi @Ley_Alexandre ,

Is the issue the same from multiple Roon apps or just the PC one? Can you try to quit RoonServer in the taskbar area, restart it and see if that helps?

If I open Roon on my PC, it searches (semi-circle and 3 bars move) but nothing happens.
If I open Roon on my iPad, it finds my PC but stays on ‘connecting’, unable to connect (it shows Windows 10, IP and Version 2.0 build 1455).
I reinstalled Roon but no difference.

I tried with another Core (Innuos Zenith) and it works through my iPad.
But not on my PC.

To make sure we are on the same page:

  • Roon Server running on a PC connected by cable to the router?
  • The iPad is connected by WiFi to the same router or a WiFi access point?
  • Do you understand the difference between Roon Server and Roon Remote?
  • Have you restarted your router recently? It might help to do so.

Yes, Roon Server running on a PC connected by cable to the router, and the iPad is connected by WiFi to the same router.
I already restarted the router but I’ll try again.
I think Roon Server is the program on my computer, and Roon Remote is the app on the iPad ?

Alright.
Could you try to make a screenshot from
the Roon Server window? Windows has a ‘Snipping tool’ built in you could use. Or simply press the ‘Print’ key on your keyboard and paste the image from the clipboard here?

Hey @Ley_Alexandre,

As another troubleshooting step, could you review your windows firewall exceptions and ensure that Roon is listed to have proper access?

An easy way to test this would be to temporarily disable your windows firewall and see if you’re able to connect. Here’s more info on Roon and machine firewalls:

We’ll be on standby for your reply. Thanks! :raised_hands:

I removed the firewalls, but no difference…

Got it, thanks for giving that a try. As a next step in testing:

  1. Close Roon

  2. Navigate to: C:\Users(username)\AppData\Local\Roon\Database\Registry\Client\

Note: It may require enabling “show hidden files and folders” to see this.

There you should see the file: saved_window_pos.

  1. Rename this file to saved_window_pos.old, restart your computer, and launch Roon then try to duplicate your issue.

Let us know if this doesn’t resolve the issue for you, even temporarily.

It says ‘file not found’

Weird, there is certainly a file there. Ok, let’s perform a fresh Roon install on the Windows machine in this case.

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

Thanks!
