Here are a few initial troubleshooting steps to try:
- update your Roon Server to the latest version 1480
- check your mac firewall and ensure Roon and Roon Server are listed as proper exceptions (or temporarily disable it to test for connection) - https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/firewall
- If you have the option to ‘select a different Roon Server’ click this and see if your Mac is available
- Reboot both your Roon Server machine and your router
If none of the above help, try refreshing your Roon Server database:
Let’s try a fresh database and see if your issues persist:
- Create a Backup of your current database
- Exit out of Roon + RoonServer (from taskbar area)
- Navigate to your Roon Database Location
- Find the folder that says “Roon Server” and “Roon”
- Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old” and “Roon” to “Roon_old”
- Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
- Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup
