Unable to Create Backup Folder on Nucleus One SSD (ref#GLLD2H)

Describe the issue

I connected a SSD via USB to my Nucleus One and it is shown in the finder on my Macbook.
I can create and delete folders via the Macbook.
My intention was to use the SSD for the backups. But when I try to set up roon, I can choice the SSD, but fail to create a folder for the backups of even choose the SSD for backups.
What I am doing wrong?

What is the format used on the SSD? If it is HFS/HFS+, then the SSD is read-only on the Nucleus One. See:
