Unable to Disconnect Old Roon Core Due to Dysfunction (ref#UD0DCH)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· I want to switch my core to a new computer -- the one I'm writing from -- but the older one is so dysfunctional that I can't get on to disconnect it. It registers as my core, but can't really pull up functions. Can you de-acquisition it remotely?

Tell us about your home network

· Orbis, one extender, everything -- computer, BluOS Vault, WiiM Pro -- is hardwired. Nothing is wired to the old computer. So I just want to transfer authorizations.

If you connect to Roon on the new computer, it should tell you that your license is still associated with the old one, and there should be a button to Unauthorize the old one. Click the button and you should be set.

Hi @Paul_Smith1,

Thanks for writing in! @Suedkiez is quite correct in the above reply. When opening Roon on the new computer, there should also be an option to ‘Use this Windows’ as your Roon Server.

Let me know if you can give either a try, Thank you!

The point is, the Roon Labs servers keep track of which computer your Roon subscription is assigned to.
