Some additional info…..Device (Topping DAC) is direct USB connected to a Windows 11 PC. Roon server is running on a Rock NUC device on LAN, connected through a single common switch. Topping Windows DAC driver is up to date. Windows/Tidal/Spotify all can use the DAC without issue. The device had been working in Roon for years without issue but when I tried it today (after a long break) it had disappeared from my zone list. When I go to the Roon Audio settings page and try to enable the device, it just sticks on “Enabling..” withour resolution. Have tried enabling “System Output”, the ASIO device and/or the WASAPI device. All produce the same result.
And you have of course tried a full power off restart of all devices in the chain?
Yes, that had no impact…..although I didn’t try to reboot the rock server. Will try that
Ok, embarrassed…rebooting the Rock server fixed the issue. Thanks!
