Hey @Nisit_Trairat,

Thanks so much for writing in and for sharing your report! All you need to do here is access the webUI of your Nucleus and perform an OS reinstall.

Here’s more info on how to access the webUI of your Nucleus:

Afterwards, you’ll want to upgrade your Roon remotes to 2.0 as well - you can simply download the latest versions of Roon from our website here:

Be sure to create some fresh backups before migrating, as you’ll need to restore from a saved backup to restore your current database and saved settings.

Let me know if this helps! :folded_hands:

Hi @Nisit_Trairat,

Roon 1.8 has been discontinued and is no longer supported due to security vulnerabilities. Please update to the latest version of Roon 2.0 across devices and let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks Connor,

Can I have a “roon official” download link for image file to freshly install my nucleus?

My Nucleus is Rev.B version

Thanks again.

Hello @Nisit_Trairat,

Thank you for the update! While we do not publicly distribute the proprietary Nucleus operating system image files for direct download, we have two straightforward ways to get your Nucleus fully restored and running again.

Here are the two paths you can take:

Option 1

If you can still access the Nucleus over your network, you can trigger the device to pull a fresh, official OS image directly from our servers:

  1. Download the following instruction file
  2. Drop this file into the /Data/Reinstall directory on your Nucleus.
  3. Visit the Nucleus Web Administration interface in your browser and click the Reinstall button.

For more info, please see our RoonOS Reinstall Guide.

Option 2

  1. Download and install our public ROCK OS onto the Nucleus using the ROCK Install Guide.
  2. Once ROCK is successfully running and the device is visible on your network.
  3. Create a request to the RMA team, who will then be able to remotely and securely flash the official Nucleus OS back onto your machine.

Please let us know which route you decide to take, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you hit any roadblocks along the way!
