Hello @Daniel_Montenegro ,

Thanks for reaching out. Are you still able to access the Nucleus Web UI, or does this not work either? Have you confirmed that the Nucleus and the Roon Server are on the same subnet? Was this setup previously working? Let us know when possible!

Hi @Daniel_Montenegro,

Can you please confirm whether you’re using a ROCK or a Nucleus (Nucleus, Nucleus One, Nucleus Titan)? You mentioned a Nucleus in your description, but our diagnostic servers show a ROCK associated with your account has most recently been online. We also see a Nucleus.

Do you migrate between these servers regularly, or were you in the process of moving your server?

Both ROCK and Nucleus share a RoonOS web administration page, accessible from any browser on your network if the unit is online.

Can you please share a screenshot of the webUI here for the Nucleus? If you can’t access the webUI, try connecting the Nucleus directly to your main router, bypassing any switches in your setup topology.

We’ll watch for your reply. Thank you!

Dear Connor,

Thank you for your quick response.

I have two different houses, and each one has its own Roon server. One is running ROCK and the other is a Nucleus, which is why you are seeing both. I always make sure to disable the one I’m not using at the time.

In this particular case, the Nucleus was on the same subnet (as mentioned in Nori’s message), and it had worked perfectly in the past. It simply stopped recognizing the Nucleus server, even though it had been working normally before.

I was finally able to resolve the issue. What I did was reinstall everything, including the Roon app on my iPhone (I deleted it and reinstalled it). After doing that, it started working again and successfully recognized the Nucleus.

I’m not entirely sure what caused the issue, but fortunately the steps above solved it.

Thank you all very much for your quick and kind responses. Your support has been greatly appreciated.

Perhaps you are not aware, but If your iPhone is your primary Roon device, then when moving between houses, you need to disconnect it from the Nucleus/ROCK in one house and reconnect to the Nucleus/ROCK in the other house.

Use Roon’s :gear: > General settings screen and you’ll see a “X Disconnect” link to touch. Once you do that you see the active Nucleus/ROCK in the house where you are and you can connect to it.

If both the Nucleus and the ROCK have exactly the same IP address in both networks, then this disconnect/reconnect is not necessary - but if they are different, it is.

Hi Geoff,

Thank you for your prompt response and explanation (:

Yes, that is exactly what I do in each case to avoid any conflicts. Perhaps I didn’t explain it clearly in my previous message, which is why I was surprised when it didn’t connect.

I even manage them using different devices, an iPad in one house and an iPhone in the other, although it is still the same Roon account.
best regards, Dan

Hello @Daniel_Montenegro,

Thank you for the clarification. It is great to hear that reinstalling the app resolved the connection issue for you!

As the issue is now resolved and you are back to enjoying your music, we will proceed to close this thread. Should you encounter any further difficulties while moving between your two setups, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
