Can you please share with us a bit more details of what does or does not happen when you try to rescan your library ? (screenshot or video is appreciated)
Also, please share a time stamp (time + date) of when do you try to rescan, that’ll help us to narrow down the scope of the issue.
Thank you for the update and for uploading the video! Based on the video, that is actually expected behavior.
I can confirm the force rescan operates the same on my end - although it’s brief, it does trigger a rescan. If there are no new files that haven’t already been seen, Roon will pick them up.

Thank you for your help, I have replaced the 2T SSD with a 4T SSD in my sonic transporter 5i, I have been patiently trying to move files from the 2T SSD to the 4TSSD the cloud storage was complaining that it was full
so I increased that storage
things are better this evening.
