The connectivity between Roon Remote and ROCK (my core) as always proven to be timid if not totally unresponsive. But for the past 60 days, in order to establish connection, I had to rely on a “bootloader” scenario, whereby, I would shut my ROCK down and restart it by changing the boot scenario in realtime, and this was up to a frequency of every second day. However, yesterday, that scenario ceased to work and I now have only 0ne remote that still makes connection out of a load of many.
Looking at the support requests, it seems I may not be the only one. I don’t know what kind of info I can send you other than the fact that I’m running a ROCK set-up on linux. The ROCK interfaces with my PecanPi which runs on Rooopee and I use your Android based “remote app” to connect and interface with my Roon account. All systems have been truly checked, all are up to date in version control and no corruption appears to impede the software in any means or form.
My only problem is to be unable to connect and therefore unable to play music. I now have to rely on my wife whose tablet still manages to connect where both my tablet and phone fails. However, she works and is out of the house 10 hours a-day, where as I am in the house 24/7 with no or little outside contact outside of music, It is therefore a situation which generates stress where I can do without given my condition.
Awaiting to hear back from you on this strange issue.
I misquoted my mind, sorry about that. Of course my Roon Rock runs on a Roonlab proprietary software which I believe is derived from Linux. Hope this clarifies my statement. Let me know if you think I need to further clarify some additional items.

Description of Issue
Remote control using both Android and iOS. For the past 24hrs connection to Core has cease to work except for one Android unit which has intermittent connectivity to Core.
No network changes. No hardware changes or re-configurations. No new softwares or general IT changes. No detected issues with IT provider.
Remote connectivity has always proved to be a challenge but never before have we been unable to access the Core.
Hope this provides the information you need to assist in fixing the underlying issue.
Thanks a million, unfortunately neither suggestions, separately or combined had the desired effect. It is quite strange that within a home network with remote connection enabled that this situation arises, but still here I am…
Regards,
Robert
Is this actually RoonOS ROCK? Or some other Linux variant?
If ROCK, this goes to Tinkering, not Support because you are running an unsupported NUC.
If some other Linux variant, you may have larger problems because you are running Roon Server on top of Linux on an old, low power processor with very limited RAM and slow eMMC storage.
