A new gouping problem has arisen. I was previously able to group Sonos products with a BlueSound Node, however this is no longer possible. (It is however possible using AirPlay). What has changed and can the issue be fixed?

Hey @Nigel_Webster,

Could you potentially describe how you grouped them in the past? As it stands, grouping via Airplay is still an option, and was most likely how you had them grouped in the past. Perhaps you grouped them via the Sonos protocol prior to connecting them via Roon?

Sonos devices typically use their proprietary protocol, while the Bluesound Node uses the RAAT (Roon Advanced Audio Transport) protocol for playback in Roon.

Roon allows the grouping of devices that share the same protocol:

  • Sonos products can be grouped together.
  • RAAT- enabled devices (like Bluesound Node and other Roon Ready devices) can be grouped together.
