· Just switched my Roon server from a windows laptop to my Windows desktop PC. Roon version 2.67 (build 1661) production (64 bit). During this time, I also switched my internet provider and installed an eeros mesh network. After installing the latest backup file and deleting the Roon database on my previous laptop server, everything appears to be working fine with my new server location. I use Tidal to stream and have ripped CD library on my BlueSound Vault 2.
I thought my Roon library prior to the switch included the files in my BlueSound Vault 2. That is no longer the case. I went through the community notes and some youtube clips but can't find anything regarding importing files from my Vault 2 to Roon. Closest I found was adding a network folder but I'm unable to enter a correct location.
Any suggestions on linking Roon to my BlueSound files would be greatly appreciated.

· Router = Nokia BGW320-505. 3 ethernet ports in use, one connects to my switch.
Switch = Netgear 16 port gigabit ethernet unmanaged switch, model GS116
Ethernet cables = all gear connected to the switch or modem using CAT 8. House has internal wiring with multiple ethernet hookup points. I believe the builder used CAT 5e or 6 which was common in 2013.
Wifi-7 mesh netwok = eeros. Base unit in media equipment room is an eeros Pro 7 mesh router. Two additional eero 7 routers provide whole house coverage. Excellent signal strength to all connected devices.
No additional extenders or power line adaptors. Bitdefender security suite in use. AT&T has their VPN version that comes with their fiber package. No other VPN software in use.
The community could help better if you could post a screenshot of your Storage locations (in Roon Remote).
That said, you are better off NOT using the build in share in the Bluesound Vault. They are slow and not suitable as network shares.
And to be clear, when playing back local files from the Vaults share, you’d fetch them over the network and then send them back to the same destination.. (when playing to the Vault Zone)
My advice; attach the Bluesound Vaults share to your Windows Desktop, backup all your media from the Bluesound share to a drive on your computer (which is also your new Roon Server).
Then point your Roon Server to the Storage location you backed up to.
Welcome to the community! The Bluesound Vault 2 exposes its music library as a network share, so you can add it directly in Roon as a watched folder. Here is how:
Go to Settings → Storage → Add Folder
In the file browser, click Add Network Share
Enter the path to your Vault 2 in this format: \\[Vault2-hostname-or-IP]\Music
If prompted for credentials, try leaving them blank first - many devices allow guest access. If it is not working, please find the manual for your specific device.
You can find the Vault 2's IP address in your router's device list or in the BluOS app under the device settings.
Just checking in on this, have you had a chance to try adding the Vault 2 as a network share in Settings > Storage > Add Folder the way we outlined? If it still is not connecting, we were also suggesting that you try the \[Vault2-hostname-or-IP]\Music path, leave credentials blank first, and confirm the Vault 2’s IP in your router or the BluOS app. Let us know what you find, thanks!
Thanks for everyone’s assistance on this. Using your Vault2-hostname protocol suggestion step, connection was successful. With all that happened during server switching and program updates, I’m thinking purchasing a Nucleus One might be the better, more permanent solution. Thanks again.
