Unable to load library and open the app (ref#OQNNYC)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

Tell us what's going on

· It tells me that I've got an "issue loading [my} library and I can't open the app, nor can I fond any of my devices on the "settings" menu. I've been a subscriber-year by year-for about eleven years now, and this is the first time I can't figure this out...am helpless. I've tried downloading the app again, to Strat anew, but I get the same library message. I'm extremely frustrated and your "help" advisories are no help at all. Maybe the fact that I'm also 83 has something to do with my frustration... But I really do need some detailed, specific guidance...please!

Tell us about your home network

· The Roon server is now on a MacBook Air 2...latest model, and the broadband is Hotwire...averaging 400mbps...I interface with a PS Audio DirectStream 1, through the Bridge setting, which now doesn't show at all on Roon.

Hello @Carl_Chernoff

Thank you for reaching Roon support.

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon”
  • Rename the “Roon” folder to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup
