The default browser’s content blockers (adblockers) are the most common reason for login loops. They prevent the single-sign-on service from using necessary cookies.
Try using a different browser or turning off adblock extensions. If you’re using an iOS device, you’ll need to disable content blockers in Safari settings.
I have tried to remove ad blockers, it didn’t help. I have tried to use a different browser, i didn’t help.
I try to uninstall the program on my laptop, but get an alarm saying: Please quit all instances og Roon before continuing… (see attached), it does not make sense to me.
That error message you got when you tried uninstalling is caused by the fact that Roon Server is still running in the background on your laptop. You must first quit it before trying to uninstall both the Roon and Roon Server applications. See the Help article on how you can quit Roon Server.
awaiting reply to my previous post, i tried to download Roon on a different laptop, a laptop that never have been used with Roon, using af different browser than earlier.
The result is absolutly the same. Connecting page running in a loop.
that helped, thanks.
Programme reinstalled, and i opne using different browser (firefox), than i’m used to. All these initiatives don’t help me. I can’t acces Roon, as login still loops.
What’s next?
/Bjarne
When you made the login attempts, were you trying to use your ROCK as the Roon Server or did you also test that the behavior is the same if you use the Laptops as the Roon Servers?
I tried to enable diagnostics mode for your ROCK, and it looks like it is partially responding to the diagnostic request but is not actually sending in any diagnostics data.
This makes me think that the issue could be with your DNS servers. We have seen users have a better experience in the past if they change their Router’s DNS servers from the ISP provided ones to Cloudflare DNS, Quad9 or Google DNS.
Can you please give this a try and let me know if it helps?
Have you been able to try the Laptop as a Roon Server? Did that work as expected?
I am still not seeing any Logs come in from your account, can you please use these instructions to manually upload a set of logs to the below link for review?
Hi @Bjarne_Caesar,
On the screen that says you are already logged in there should be a button that allows you to deauthorize other servers. Do you see it?
We’re glad to hear that you were at least able to get Roon up and running in one instance.
Reviewing your initial issue:
When you attempt to use your ROCK as your Roon Server, do you still experience the same login loop issue? Or, are you not able to see and select the ROCK as your Roon Server?
Can you connect your ROCK directly to your primary router, and ensure that Roon is listed as proper exception in your windows firewall(roon.exe, raatserver.exe and roonbridge.exe)? Here’s more info on that (you can also temporarily disable your windows firewall during login to test) :
