For Roon connectivity to work properly, both Roon Server and Roon Remote need to be turned on.
· I can't turn on Roon Server, I need help.
Describe the issue
I am using a MacBook Pro M2 max running Sequoia 15.3.2. We loaded Roon on the free trial basis but am sure we are being charged now as the trial is expired. When trying to login we get the message "waiting for your roon server". We then checked everything stated in the message as well as what was available support on the support page. But we are still unable to login to Roon the server. The roon server is awake but not online. What can we do?On the iPhone it says "it looks like my server is disconnected from the Internet" but the server is connected to the internet and works on other programs. Please assist, as we are unable to use your service.
Describe your network setup
We have an AT&T fiber optic service that connects to an AT&T router which then is connected to a switch.
First, please ensure that Roon has local network permissions granted by MacOS:
Open System Settings on your Mac
Navigate to Privacy & Security → Local Network and toggle Roon’s permissions on. If they’re already on, toggle them off/on again.
This should ensure that MacOS itself isn’t restricting the server’s access to the network.
If this doesn’t help, please let us know if you’re using any consumer VPNs, third-party antivirus software, or firewalls. We’ll suggest some next steps.
If you’d like us to extend your Roon trial, just let us know. We want to make sure you’ve had time to try Roon out instead of just troubleshooting.
Diagnostics indicate that this issue was resolved behind the scenes. This thread is closing out due to inactivity. If you’re still encountering problems, you can reactivate the thread by submitting a new support request here.
