Unable to login to Roon Server on Nucleus, stuck in login loop (ref#TQLRS5)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· Cannot login on my Roon Server.
When opening Roon App, asked to select server Nucleus, click connect (Nucleus information displayed, ready), then Login/Sign UP page of the Roon App, entering login info on browser, then failure (nothing happens, if Roon opened, stays on Login/Sign UP page).
If I click Login again, same process (looping). Tried with Edge, Firefox, Safari, Chrome - same. Mac Os Tahoe 26.4.1, Roon app downloaded again this morning from Roon website to be sure. My Nucleus seems to work fine (green lite on Roon App, IP address assigned).

· No VPN. Network fully functional.

Hey @JP_Clement,

Thank you for reaching out as soon as you discovered you had trouble logging into your Roon account. As a first step, could you please try to log into your Roon account page?

https://account.roon.app

If the trouble is logging into the Roon software, it is worth noting that the process involves logging in via a web browser. The pop-up might be blocked by the default browser, depending on your settings. In that case, there are a few things that can help:

  • Rebooting your Roon Server

  • Clearing the default browser’s cache and cookies

  • Temporarily changing your default browser

  • Checking to ensure that you don’t have pop-up or cookie blockers preventing the redirect.

We’ll be monitoring for your reply, thank you! :folded_hands:

Done all this, not there yet… I can log in from the Browser, redirect to Roon App starts, waiting from server message in the App and “something went wrong” message with back to square one with Roon App sign in screen. I can log into my Roon Account. I can see my Roon server status with the IP address, but still cannot access my music library through Roon. Not sure what to do from there….

Hey @JP_Clement,

Thanks for the update and additional information!

A few more things to try:

  1. Temporarily disabling your macOS firewall and see if you’re able to connect'
  2. I noticed there might be multiple subnets within your local network, could you please temporarily disable all but a single subnet, reboot your devices, and see if you’re able to connect?
  3. Access the webUI of your Nucleus and perform an OS reinstall to update to the latest version. Here is more info on how to access the webUI:
https://help.roonlabs.com/portal/en/kb/articles/roonos-webui#What_functions_can_I_perform_from_the_Roon_OS_user_interface

We’ll be monitoring for your results! :+1:

No chance yet. No firewall in place to disable. Cannot limit my subnets - need all for other home devices/systems. Did reinstalls, no changes. Tried to delete Roon Database and Settings (suspecting I need to reassign network IP), got this error message “Settings and databases could not be reset. Please try again, or contact support. {“status”:“Failure”,“exitcode”:5} “…

Hey @JP_Clement,

Thanks for giving that a try. We’re not currently seeing any devices tied to your account, would you be able to send over a set of Roon Server logs from your Nculeus?

Can you please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
