I have created a new password but cannot login with the new password on my roon server (PC). After entering the new password, the login fields go blank again. To login, I changed my password but when I enter it on my roon server PC, and hit “Eintragen” (enter), the user name and password fields are blank again and no login takes place. I only get an email with a roon security alert that tells me that “If this was you, you don’t need to do anything.”
Can anyone help me to solve this problem?
Describe your network setup
internet access router connected via LAN cable, Aries mini streamer connected to router via LAN cable, roon server PC connected with same network via Wifi
Thanks for reaching out. Can you please use these instructions to access your Roon logs, upload them to the below link and let us know once uploaded? Thanks!
Thank you for your support. I just forgot to rename my log file, so uploaded it a second time and this time I changed the zip folder name to my email address (al@leupold-legal.com). Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you can find out why I can´t login.
Hi @Andreas_Leupold,
Thanks for uploading those logs for us. We found signs of network issues affecting your Roon server. We’ve seen that some users have a better experience when switching their router’s DNS settings from the default ISP-provided ones to a more reliable option like Cloudflare DNS, Quad9, or Google DNS. Could you give that a try and let us know if it improves things?
Thank you for your help. I hired electricians to install new CAT cables in my home as my wifi setup didn´t work anymore. They promised to do this tomorrow (Friday, April 3), 2025 but now they postponed it to Friday next week (April 11, 2025). Can we keep this topic open until then? I will get back to you or your colleagues asap once I have a working internet connection in my living room again.
The thread will remain open until we’re both confident your issue is resolved - we’ll keep an eye out for your response and await testing once the ethernet hardwire is in place.
