Describe the issue
I can't login to tidal from my roon server device or any other device controlling roon, the roon server is installed pn mac mini 2014.
Describe your network setup
Magyar Telekom, the macbook connected with wired connection
Looking at your screenshot, it appears Roon is stuck on the “Waiting for TIDAL login” stage.
Because Roon uses a secure login method (SSO), clicking the “Login” button is supposed to automatically launch your default web browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.) so you can enter your credentials there.
Could you please clarify one detail: When you click the “Login” button in Roon, does a browser window actually open?
If the browser window does not appear, or if it opens but fails to redirect you back to Roon, this is usually caused by software interfering with the link:
Popup Blockers: Check if your browser (Safari/Chrome) is blocking popups from Roon.
Ad Blockers: Extensions like AdBlock or AdGuard can sometimes block the login redirect.
Antivirus/Firewall: Some security software on macOS can prevent Roon from launching the browser.
Try this: On the screen shown in your screenshot, click the small blue link that says “Click here if you weren’t redirected”. This should force the login page to open manually.
If the browser DOES open: If you log in successfully in the browser but Roon does not update, try temporarily changing your default browser (e.g., use Chrome instead of Safari) and try again.
Would you kindly clarify whether you have received the browser pop-up message redirection back to the Roon application after performing the login on the Tidal website?
Yes correct. I received this popup, approved to open roon, and then get the infinite loading.
P.s. I tried from several devices, from iOS, same mac where the roon server is installed and from another mac.
It’s an old user and an old installation, it just dropped me out from tidal then I tried to login, and still trying
One thing that can come to my mind, I did roon update on the same day, then, can it be connected?
If that’s the case, there seems to be some upstream blockage that is preventing our servers from being able to connect and enable diagnostic mode for your Roon Server.
If you could, please use the directions found here and send over a set of logs to our File Uploader? Once logs have been uploaded, please let us know so that we can check the server for your files, thanks!
Thanks for the info I already did all this before contacting the support, as it was mentioned in the roon’s troubleshooting tutorial docs.
However, I disconnected the ethernet cable and left the server running through wifi connection and it solved the problem.
