Summary: Unable to mount the internal drive on my Exasound Roon server in the library. I can mount the external USB. I can add folders on that USB. I can see the internal drive when I browse in on my Mac that's on the network, so I know it's working. I've posted extensive screenshots in Discourse. https://community.roonlabs.com/t/getting-my-exasound-server-to-see-the-internal-storage/307824
I’ve been happily using my Exasound server (details below) for years. I discovered last night that some of my obscure ripped albums weren’t showing up, and after a bunch of poking, find that the only drive it’s crawling is an external USB plugged into the server, not the internal storage.
I spent hours going in circles with Claude and Terminal, to no avail.
I’ll try to attach the relevant screenshots. I’m sure I’m missing something obvious and help is appreciated! Thanks.
I have a wifi network as well as a network wired with Ethernet. The ethernet connects my Exasound server to a hub and then to the router that has wifi. I run Roon remote from my Mac.
Missing username and password – note: SMBv1 is no longer supported, so you need to provide login credentials. I don’t know what to put in there. As Exasound is providing your server, its OS and so the share too, please contact Exasound support, if needed because the documentation doesn’t cover it, to get the needed information.
When I used @BlackJack suggestion of smb://DELTA.local/Disk2
combined with the name the server gave to the share (playpoint)
and a password I added, it worked.
Error messages weren’t helpful, but as usual, this community came through.
Thanks.

(Here I am with a brain the size of a planet and they ask me to pick up a piece of paper. Call that job satisfaction? I don't.)

This may solve the problem, but you shouldn’t have to mount an internal drive using Samba.
