Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· None of the above quite fits

None of the above quite fits

· None of these quite match

Tell us what's going on

· I can no longer open the Roon app on my iMac as it says I need software version 12 or above. I had no problem until Roon was updated yesterday.

Tell us about your home network

· The router was supplied by Virgin Media. I have no switches and there is no VPN.

Your error message is very self explanatory.

Yesterday’s release of Roon requires MacOS 12 or later. Update your Mac accordingly. If your Mac doesn’t support these newer versions of macOS it cannot be used with the latest version of Roon.

Is there no way I can go back to the previous release?

Hi @Derek_Gray,

There is a temporary installer available for the old version for users who aren’t able to update due to the change in requirements. You can find the link in the post below:

Another option is to rely on a third-party app like Open Core Legacy Patcher.

Thanks Connor

I have re-installed the older version and now all is ok. I just have to be very careful now regarding any updates.
