Hey @Jason_Adriaanse,

Thanks for writing in and sharing your report! We were able to review a fresh diagnostic report from your Roon Server, and saw KKBox playback errors in relation to location, more specifically:

Warn: [Broker:Media] [kkbox] [kkbox/http] error result from http request: {"error":{"message":"Not authorized on user's territory

This suggests that KKBox determined your current location does not have the necessary streaming rights for the requested content. KKBox likely enforces regional restrictions based on licensing agreements, and the user is trying to access content that is unavailable in their country.

A few follow-up steps you can take in this case:

  1. Verify that your KKBox account is registered in the correct region.
  2. If using a VPN, try disabling it to see if the issue resolves.
  3. Test playing the same track in the KKBox app to confirm if it works outside of Roon.

Hope this helps! :+1:

Thanks for getting back to me.

Taking the above example for “Disintegration”, the KKBox app only shows 2 versions.

So I think the a Roon API needs some tweaking

Hi @Jason_Adriaanse,

We’ve received notice from KKBox’s team that certain updates sent to Roon’s servers incrementally throughout the last week have contained bad data.

Their team is working on resolving the issue, but the symptoms generally match the description and timeline of your report above.

We’ll post here once we have a timeline to resolution from KKBox.
