Description of Issue

The above setup can only play DSD files up to DSD64 when Convolution is enabled. Is this only due to CPU processing power or there is other setting that enable it to play DSD 128 and 256 files with Convolution enabled?

If replacing a new Roon Server is the only option, please advise the the minimum processing power specification and recommend a few other brand models in addition to Nucleus.

Thank you so much.

Can you send a screenshot of the signal path? What is the speed ratio shown? Also, have you enabled native DSD processing in the settings? Turning that off can reduce processing significantly.

Please see attached. Thank you

Graham your Core isn’t fast enough to handle this processing.
It really needs to be 1.1 to 1.2 to give yourself some headroom.

You should turn off native DSD processing in the settings, that should reduce the load. Also, since the DAC is converting to PCM internally anyway, there’s no need to modulate back to DSD after the convolution.
