Describe the issue

Hi, guys!

I'm still having a weird little problem with Roon and HomePods.

I can see all the HomePods in my house from the Roon app.

When I try to play music from Roon on any HomePod, there is no sound coming out.

The problem occurred when I updated Roon Server and Roon Remote.

I did the hard part, I updated the server and all the clients I had. And now I can't play music on the HomePod.

And unfortunately I can't remember which version I had before.

Are there others out there with the same problem?

Have you found a solution?

Describe your network setup

My Roon server is in a Kubernetes OnPremise cluster. All devices are connected to the same wifi via the same router. Everything used to work fine, before the update I recently performed on our routers and clients.

Hi @Vince_DI_Kartel,

As a workaround, have you tried adding the HomePods to the Apple Home app?

Diagnostics indicate your environment has multiple subnets. Have you verified RoonServer isn’t connecting intermittently to a different subnet than these endpoints?

Hi @connor ,

I’ve found the cause of my problem. It’s in Apple’s Home application, you need to set the following configuration:
