Describe the issue

Without having made any changes to the network, suddenly I can't play music on my Linn Selekt Edition Hub from Roon. Neither locally stored music or from Qobuz. The Linn Selekt appears in Roon as it should as a Roon Ready device but nothing happens when I press play. No signal path overview is available in Roon, when pressing the little lilac dot - it just says (for example) "Source: Qobuz FLAC 96 kHz 24 bit 2xh". My tv is connected via hdmi to the Linn selekt and there is no problem getting the tv sound out to the speakers via the Linn Selekt. Late last night when I tried to listen some music I got an error message in Roon saying something like "Roon refuses to send signal to output". It only showed up a couple of times and just for a few seconds so it wasn't possible for me to document it more precisely. This error message does not show up today.

Describe your network setup

The main network is a Netgear Orbi mesh system. It consists of one Orbi router and two Orbi satellites. The satellites use wireless backhaul; I do not have Ethernet cables running between the rooms.

Not sure if it’s the same issue, but I just sat down to play some new albums from Qobuz and ROON just says ‘loading album’. Tried different albums and same thing. I can look through my history and it plays tracks from there OK. It’s not a Qobuz issue because I can play the albums from Qobuz with the Linn app with no issues or delay.

Hi Billz, I don’t think it’s the same issue. In my case I don’t get any “loading albums” from Roon.

Hope you get it sorted Mats, it’s very frustrating when it doesn’t work.

Hello @Mats_G,

We reviewed your logs. At 02:38 local time on Sunday, Roon asked the Selekt to start playback. The Selekt began replying but did not finish the setup, so Roon stopped waiting after 15 seconds, and it has not been able to reconnect to the Selekt since.

Please unplug the Selekt from power for a few seconds, plug it back in, and let us know whether it then appears enabled in Settings > Audio and plays. If it does not, please send the date and time (with time zone) of your next attempt.

Hi

Following your instructions, the result is that the Selekt - as before - is shown as enabled in Settings/Audio. However it does not play - the problem remains the same as as before. Timestamp oct. 5, 11.08 AM, Timezone Stockholm/Sweden.

Restarted Roon server software. Problem solved. (Sorry for taking your time.)
