Describe the issue

I installed Roon on my PC and am using it as the Core. I want to listen to music directly through the Bose speaker that I have connected to my PC via USB. The zone is enabled by default, but when I try to play something, it starts skipping all the tracks until it says there are too many errors, and I can't listen to anything.

When I use the app from my phone, I can listen without any issues, but it doesn't let me select the zone for the speakers on my computer. Essentially, I can't listen to music on my PC using the speakers connected to it via USB.

Hello @Luis_Carmona and welcome to the forum.

Most likely because PC, tablet and phone audio zones default to be private. What that means and how to change it is described in:

Hi @Luis_Carmona,

Please share a screenshot of the Signal Path in Roon (the dialog box opened by clicking the illuminated dot next to the playback bar). The technical support team needs to see the file format and driver in use in order to troubleshoot this issue most effectively.

Does this occur with both Tidal content and local library tracks? What about different file formats and sample rates?

Hello, thank you for contacting me. The Signal Path doesn’t light up; it always stays gray. When I press play, it remains gray and starts skipping through the tracks until it shows the message “Too many errors. Stopping playback.”

I get the same error whether I’m using Tidal or my local files.

Can you please check in Roon if your failing zone allows for multichannel configuration and try that if it is allowed/available?

There were several users that had to configure their Windows zone for multichannel support for it to work.
