Hey @akonings,

Thanks for taking the time to write in and share your report, and welcome to the Roon Community! We’re happy to have you here, but apologize in that it’s an issue that has prompted your recent post.

Could you please bring your Roon Server back online? We’ll enable diagnostics to take a closer look into what might going on.

If you haven’t yet, a great first step would also be to safely stop Roon Server from running, and reboot your PC, router, and remote devices you’re attempting to connect.

We’ll be monitoring for your reply, thank you! :raised_hands:

Hi,

I’ve still issues with the iPad and iPhone
I’ve rebooted my router and laptop.
Please can you fix it?
Thnx

André

Hi @akonings,
We’re happy to work with you to figure this issue out. Since Roon is working on the machine hosting the Roon server but not other devices on your network we will start with troubleshooting that connection.

Since you are using a Windows PC, I would verify that both Roon.exe and RAATServer.exe have been added as exceptions to your Windows firewall.

You can use these instructions to add the exceptions and the executables themselves would be located in your Database Location/Application folder path.

I would also add these exceptions to any Antivirus or other Firewall blocking applications you may have and ensure that you connected to your network via a Private network, not a Public one, see this guide for more information.

Hi,still doesn’t work ,I’ve checked all firewalls etc.
Rebooted the pc and Roon still not showing on my iPad phone.
I think the problem is maybe iOS with windows conflicts?
So I only see Roon on the pc.
I can’t open the server too.
I think that it will not work for me too many problems sadly.

Best regards

André

Hi @akonings ,

Did you check the private vs public network setting? The symptoms you are seeing match exactly what a public network not allowing Roon would look like. Here is the guide linked again:
