Describe the issue
I have a 2016 Intel NUC (NUCi3SYH) and want to set it up as a Roon server. All appears to be well there. It appears on the Network with its Roon software. I have a QNAP TS-112 NAS where my music is stored, some 671.38 GB on disk. I have had no trouble using this as networked storage for music and other things in the past. I want Roon to access its music files as a Network Share location of music. The music files are mainly FLAC files and fairly important to me. It is a collection I want to keep. I have no problems using Tidal with my newly acquired Roon on my iMac or iPad. I am using a 2020 iMac (Sonoma 14.7.3), a recent model ASUS router and an iPad together with a Wiim Pro as part of a system to feed headphones and a speakers. I have been through all of your printed suggestions and do not consider myself an expert but I am no novice either. I continue to get "unexpected error" messages or a failure to register the Network Share Location and am at a loss to know where to go next. The large music folder, either in whole or part, will not register. Maybe a new NAS or other storage is required but that puts me out for more expense. I have been using Yate to manage these files. But turning that off does not help. The NUC is an older model but I cannot see that this is the problem. Can you assist?
