I can't remove an album from the new Listen Later screen. The attached screen shot shows there's no provision to remove the album from the Listen Later collection. I did add the album to my library if that makes a difference. Also, I have removed at least one other album with no problem.

If you look at the album, not the list and click the listen later button again it should remove it.
At least that’s how it works for myself.
@AceRimmer’s response is the correct workaround in this case. This involves Roon’s treatment of library vs. streaming objects; adding the Dave Stryker album to your library swapped a streaming object for a library object.
The team will investigate why the Listen Later options menu (…) isn’t reflecting the track’s current status in that page. Please keep an eye out for an additional comment here.
I tried the recommended solution. If I select listen later a second instance of the album is added to the Listen Later view. I can deselect the album and remove it but the original instance remains.
I was expecting to be able to add a new album to ‘listen later’ without adding it to my library. Then either just remove it from listen later, or add to library and then remove from ‘listen later’.
Doing the latter leaves the album apparently unremovable from ‘listen later’. I have had to remove the album from my library to get it removed from ‘listen later’, annoyingly this also removed it from recent activity.
I was previously doing this with a tag but disliked having to add the albums to my library before I’d listened to them. So ‘listen later’ looked good but it is currently unworkable for me.
To remove the original instance you will currently need to remove the album from your library. That will enable the ‘remove from listen later’ option in the popup that opens when clicking the three dots to the right of the ‘listen later’ option
I’m running into this issue as well and it makes Listen Later basically unusable. I had ~5 new albums in my Listen Later, added a couple of them to my library and my “2025” tag after listening, and then they got stuck in LL until I removed them from my library and restarted my server. Good feature idea but I’m going back to an “Evaluating” tag until things are more stable!
Thanks for writing in and sharing your reports. The good news is that our team has identified the issue and has a ticket for a fix. I can’t speak on specific timelines but it should be within the next few releases.
Thank you for your patience until then! You can keep track of our release notes here:
@benjamin great to hear, thanks! I look forward to trying Listen Later again when that’s worked out.
@David_Gibson yes, there are several ways of working around this, but when the feature is replicating and trying to replace a workflow I already use heavily (I use an “Evaluating” tag to keep track of albums that I’m, well, evaluating, and eventually I either remove that album from my library altogether or keep it, remove it from “Evaluating,” and add it to other relevant tags) I’m not going to replace my workflow with a new process that also requires bug fix workarounds.
I’m having this problem as well. Hopefully they’ll fix this soon because I really like this new feature since it help me discover new music or remember to listen to stuff.
Me too. I love Listen Later, I’ve been adding new albums to my library without listening to them so that I remember to listen to them later and this has made my library more confused. Adding them to Listen Later has tidied up my library particularly wrt new releases.
Looking forward to seeing the fix in a new release SOON
