Songs and albums I added to "play later" when I had the qobuz subscription are left in the list and they cannot be removed/erased in any way. I believe I'd be able to erase if I still had qobuz but I switched to tidal. Is there a way?

When you go to the "Listen Later” list you should be able to see the option to clear upcoming tracks and clear all.
Can you please share with us the screenshot from your queue ?
