Hi @Carles_Borrego_Bel,
Thanks for writing in to us to ask about this issue. I think we need a little more detail about what is going on with your Roon setup in order to help you.
Can you share a screenshot of your Roon settings → Audio page?
Try playing to system output on your Mac device and let us know if that works.
How are these endpoints connected to your server? If they are networked devices are they connected with ethernet or Wi-Fi? If you are using ethernet is there any network hardware like a switch between the endpoint and your router?
Once we have this information we should be able to suggest some next steps!
I am unable to attache images. It appears the previous message.
In the screenshot only appera elements of my MAC (System Output, CoreAudio and Airplay).
2.- If I choose system output on my Mac it works, I can reproduce music.
3.- The integrated amplifier and the MAC are connected to the same router via an ethernet cable. Both have a PLC in the middle, that I have been using for years without issues. Both have connectivity with other services.
Yesterday, I tried and everything works. Today I have again and I have again the same issue. The only difference is that a I power off & on the MAC.
More Information: I just swich off and on the Roon application and now I can see the Amplifier but not the rest elements (TV, Chromecast, and other airplay devices).
Thanks for the additional information! Since you’re running Roon Server on a Mac with Sequoia, can you please navigate to macOS System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network , and make sure Roon is allowed. If it is already enabled, toggle it off and on again. Then reboot your Mac, and see if the same issue persists.
I tried to follow your instructions and the problem “seems” to be fixed. However, not all the Roon the devices are visible in Audio section.
I tried to reboot the Mac several times and apply the same solution but only 1 or 2 devices are visible. Fortunately the AVM device was always visible doing the setting change.
Today, I have reboot the Mac several times always toggling off and on the enabling Roon the local network and the problem is persistent: I am always unable to see any device of my network in Audio section.
What devices are you referring to specifically at this point? Just the AVM, or are you expecting to see additional devices? I see a sonos device based on one of your screenshots as well.
Did all the devices always show up properly until you updated your Mac to Sequoia? If you haven’t yet, I’d also review your Mac firewall settings - test out temporarily disabling it and restart Roon. Let me know if your devices show up properly
Let me recap after several trials done in the recent days.
If I navigate to macOS “System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network” and toggle it off and on again and I reboot the MAC seems I am able to fix the issue.
Most of Roon Ready and Roon Tested devices are visible. I have issues with a Sonos device that randomly is visible other times not.
However without a fixed pattern after some MAC reboots the problem appears again and none of the devices is visible. So I have to repeat the process.
I have reviewed the firewall settings and Roon is already set as an exception.
Hi @Carles_Borrego_Bel,
We’ve had numerous reports from other users that updating to MacOS 15.3 solved their device discovery issues. Can you please try that and let us know if it improves things?
