· I have a lifetime Roon subscription for my MacBook Pro [roon server]. I just purchased a Roon Nucleus Titan [roon server] and like a second Roon subscription for this device. I currently have a trial second Roon membership. However I cannot see both roon servers when I login into Roon app. I need to either log out of MacBook Pro or Roon Nucleus Titan to see one of them. How do I setup Roon app so that I can see both MacBook Pro and Roon Nucleus when I login to the Roon app? Thanks. Neil Wong

Hi @Neil_Wong,

A second subscription should enable you to have two simultaneous servers without issue and connect the Remote on the Mac to either.

Can you please share a screenshot of what you see in Roon when you sign in?

Please try the following:

  1. Ensure RoonServer itself is open on the Mac in the background (check the menu bar or Activity Monitor)

  2. Ensure the Nucleus One is powered on and on the same subnet

  3. Double-check that Roon has local network permissions enabled in your Mac Privacy & Security settings

  4. Open the Web UIfor the Nucleus to ensure it’s accessible

Hi @connor ! Thank you for your reply. Enclosed is a screen shot of Roon. This shot is taken from my Macbook Pro which is the original roon server and has the lifetime subscription.

As you can see, I can only see my Roon Nucleus Titan. I cannot see my MacBook Pro.

I have tried your suggestion. Nucleus Titan is powered on and on same subnet as my MacBook Pro. Roon has local permission and I have opened Web UI for Nucleus to confirm accessible.

Can you advise how I can see both Roon Nucleus Titan and MacBook Pro when I fire up Roon?

Click that “X Disconnect” link shown in your screenshot - that will disconnect the Roon client from the Roon Server running on your Titan and take you to a screen that will show all the Roon Servers currently active in your home network. You can then choose to connect to the Roon Server running on your MacBook Pro.

You do realise that a Roon Client can connect to only one Roon Server at a time, don’t you?

Hi @Geoff_Coupe ! HRU? Thank you for telling me this. I didn’t realise that a Roon Client can only connect to one Roon Server at a time. I thought it can connect to two or more Roon Servers at a time.

If this is the case, I better cancel my trial for a second subscription. Cheers.

Hi @Neil_Wong,

You can only connect to one Roon Server at a time, yes. If the goal is to keep using the Mac zones, we can do that by using the Nucleus Titan as the primary Roon Server and running Roon or RoonBridge on the Mac, so those Mac zones remain available.

If you are trying to achieve something different with the second Roon Server, please let us know what that is. We can then confirm the best way forward.

Wanted to follow up on this. Have you had a chance to try using the Nucleus Titan as the primary Roon Server while running Roon or RoonBridge on the Mac so those Mac zones stay available?
