To run Powershell in Administrative mode.

Hold down the Windows key and hit the letter “R” for a run command dialog box to open.

Type powershell

Next, hold down the Ctrl and Shift key at the same time and then hit enter.

You will be in Administrative mode.

The same can be applied for the “cmd” Command Prompt.

An even simpler way to open PowerShell in Administrator mode is to:

  1. click Start
  2. start typing powershell in the search bar to bring up PowerShell
  3. choose Run as Administrator.
