Describe your network setup

4G router. Mac mini is the Roon core

@Yeray_Seminario, have you tried deleting the ARC app and reinstalling it?

Thanks for your message. Several times… I have used Roon Arc in the past but due to having a 4G Router at home I haven’t been unable to use it out of the house. However, I thought that I could download some of my music to Roon Arc and use it as such when traveling, but when I tried to log in (maybe a few months since I last used Roon Arc), it wouldn’t let me. I tried many times, deleting, installing, again and again, with the same results.

Assuming your 4G router has WiFi, are you attaching to the router via WiFi and then trying to log into your ARC application?

Hi @Yeray_Seminario,
Thanks for writing in to let us know about this issue. In addition to the information that @Robert_F asked for can you also share a screenshot of your Roon ARC page from your server?

Hi, thanks for your response. That’s correct, I’m connected to the 4G Router via WIFI and then trying to log in ARC. This worked well in the past, and could use ARC while at home - but not outside. This is of course of limited use, but what when tried to log in again in order to download music from my server via ARC, couldn’t log in.

Let me know if this is what you mean or if you need something else:

@Yeray_Seminario, who is your mobile provider? Many mobile providers use CG-NAT to assign a public IPv4 address to multiple devices in order to conserve these addresses. Roon ARC cannot work with a CG-NAT network. There is a chance that your mobile provider is using CG-NAT, which may be causing what you are experiencing.

Hi @Yeray_Seminario ,

Also, do you happen to have any Content Blockers toggled on in your Safari settings?

  1. Open up the Safari browser.
  2. Open the “Safari” menu in the top left corner of the screen.
  3. Click “Preferences” > “Websites” > “Content blockers.”
  4. Any content blocking services currently active will be listed here. If any are active, toggle them off and try to login again.

Hello. Thanks both for your responses.

To answer the first question, the mobile provider for home’s internet network is Orange.

I just want to be clear that I know that I can not use, for now, Roon Arc outside my wifi network, which is… well, not ideal.

However, a week ago I randomly tried to sign in into Roon Arc, and now it worked. I didn’t change anything, I didn’t adjust any preferences, nothing. It just signed in, and now I can use Roon Arc at home, and download my music into it, so can listen to those offline.

Thanks again for your assistance on this. The problem solved by itself, it seems.
