Unable to Sign Out on macOS Roon App (ref#RBJCB0)

· Hi,

I have two Roon accounts — a personal one and a dealer account with a 1-year trial license. My Roon app on macOS is currently signed into the wrong account, and I need to switch to my dealer account, but I can't find any way to sign out from within the app.

What I've tried:

Looking through Settings in the app for a "Sign Out" option — couldn't find one.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the app completely — the account stayed signed in, so this didn't fix it.

Could you help me force a sign-out so I can log in with my dealer account instead?

Thanks,
Victor Malvolti

Should be located on the Roon Settings|General page (the landing page if one selects Settings in Roon).

If you want to change the account of your server itself, you have to reset your server’s database:

Hi @victor1,

Thank you for your post.

If you need to reassociate the database with a separate Roon account, you’ll need to reset it per the stepsthat @BlackJack shared above.

If you just want to terminate the session for your sign-in, you can do so from the Roon accounts page for either of your accounts by navigating to the “sessions” list at the bottom and closing out your active session

This will force a login next time you open Roon Remote. However, it won’t dissociate the Roon databases you’ve created from their parent accounts.

We’ll watch for your response and proceed from there.

Hi @victor1,

Just wanted to touch base on this. Have you had a chance to either reset the database using the steps we shared for moving it to a separate Roon account, or close the active session from the Roon accounts page if you only wanted to sign out? The session option will force a fresh login in Roon Remote, but it will not detach the database from its parent account, so if that is still the goal, the reset steps are the ones we need to use. If you have an update or run into anything unclear, reply here and we’ll take it from there.
