· Attempting to sign up for 60-day Nugs trial results in 'User validation failed, please contact support.' I've tried the same email used for Roon as well as other email addresses. All result in this same error.
Similar issue here. I created a new account and got to a second page where I have to add my CC. The “start streaming” button remains disabled even after entering the CC, there is no “Start Free Trial” button shown.
Folks – if you are having trouble claiming the trial offer, we’d ask you to try the following:
First
Open an “incognito tab” (or whatever your browser calls it) and close your main browser
Try again to redeem your 60 day trial offer, and confirm it opens in the incognito window
Second
If that doesn’t work, try again in about 30 mins.
We are looking into this issue and have seen many users successfully redeem the offer today -- I know this is frustrating but these tests will help us understand why you're having a different experience.
Please give it a shot and let us know if things are resolved. If you are still having issues, please confirm your browser, location, and whether you tried both methods listed above.
Really appreciate your patience, folks. Thanks all!
Same here. Tried to make an account with an apple account. The bar in Nugs never changed from greyed out to “start free trial”. so no payment and no succes.
Tried again with a Gmail account. It looked like it worked. But now it is saying “succesfully connected” in the browser but in Roon “ upgrade you nugs account” and on their site “no active plan”. No email confirmation from Nugs that I have an Account. But I do… i can login. I also have entered my credit card details. So no I cannot do anything, but my trial is started, cannot use it and it will end and I have to pay in 60 days? Now what?
There are two places on the Artist page where you can see nugs content: the Overview tab and the Shows tab, and, obviously the “nugs tab” (on the left hand side of Roon). Find more details and images here:
Ah. Figured it out, need to login on the services settings. Obvious if one thinks about it. But might be worth explaining in the announcement nevertheless.
A different browser ‘worked’ however it doesn’t appear I can trial for 60-days without giving them my CC and billing info. That’s not a ‘free’ trial.
It’s also not clear that if I do sign up that it’s the 60-day Roon benefit. It simply appears to be the regular trial and I’ve read elsewhere is 7 days.
Oh, I just tried accessing via Roon in Services and it takes me to a place to enter CC, trial 60 days. Seems the backend is being updated/fixed like today…I may try it as I understand one can download during the trial. I’ll be surprised if Live Nation doesn’t wrap DRM around it though.
Update: I don’t find any option to purchase and download anything. It appears to be completely a streamed affair. Offline within the walled app is possible though. Seems they’ve changed in the past few years a good bit.
I also had trouble signing up for the free trial yesterday. The only way that I could get it to work was to enter my payment information and to determine which level of subscription I wanted. Today I see they have charged my credit card $34.38Canadian for the top-tier subscription. I have an email in to support asking that they reverse the charges and get me set up for the 60 D free trial. Wish me luck!
The folks are Nugs were very pleasant and refunded my payment right away. They also gave me some tips that might make signing up for the Roon trial a little easier. That said yes the cost of the top tier subscription is pretty high here in Canada so I likely won’t be continuing on after the 60 days.
