Hi @sp.oger,
I’m sorry you’re having issues with your Roon server but I’m certain we can get it working again for you. The first thing I will recommend refreshing your Roon server by following the below steps.

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon + RoonServer (from taskbar area)
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon Server” and “Roon”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old” and “Roon” to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

Here is the process outlined from a Windows machine:

All Roon_old on Windows

If you are still encountering issues after these steps please give us some more details about what happens when you try to start your server.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for answering!

I tried all steps but it did not open Roon.

So, I uninstalled Roon, downloaded again.

I could start openning Roon only as administrator in Windows…

Then in the login at Roon site it stops.

It is all it does.

I have done it all before but could not solve.

Hi @sp.oger,

I’d verify that all Roon-related processes are added as exceptions in the Windows Defender firewall.

RoonServer.exe, RoonGoer.exe, RAATServer.exe, and RoonAppliance.exe will need to be added as “safe”, as well as Roon.exe itself (the graphical interface).

Hi Connor,

It is all allowed in the Defender firewall for a long time.

Today I could acess Roon, but what I did was just for tentative since everything recomended was done.

What happened was the following -
I tried to open Roon in the computer as administrator, in the login part it stopped, then I accessed the app in phone, went thru the login and it opened in the computer!!!

Now it opens and run in the computer, only 30 seconds every music!!!

Have no idea why. I need help again!

Hi @sp.oger,

Are these songs streamed or tracks that you downloaded?

We’ve activated diagnostics on your account. Can you turn your server on for a few minutes to allow the diagnostics to be completed?
