Unable to stream to Leema Quasar amp using Roon app (ref#2FJGLV)

What’s happening?

· I'm having trouble connecting to Roon

What type of connection issue?

Describe the issue

I have connected Roon with my PC OK and have successfully streamed to it with Tidal and also from my NAS.

My main system is a Leema Quasar streamer/amp. I currently stream Tidal to that using mConnect. I have updated the mConnect software which appears include Roon in it's list of providers and I've installed the Roon app on my Android phone. I can't see how to stream to the amp using just the Roon app, or do I need your hardware such as Nucleus to do this?

Describe your network setup

My router is the latest one provided by British Telecom, I have a good fibre connection to my property. I'm using Tenda Nova devices for range extension. All working OK.

Welcome to Roon @chris1

I am just a fellow Roon user.

To use Roon you need two (three) parts.

  1. A Roon Server.

  2. A compatible Roon endpoint: Sonos, AirPlay, Chrome/Google Cast, Roon Bridge or Roon Ready enabled devices.

  3. (A Roon Remote device if you don’t use the Roon Client on a computer)

It might be easier for you to have a read through this section of Roon’s help pages.

Your streamer/amp is not Roon Ready/Roon Tested as far as I can tell.

It’s UPnP only and will work with apps like MConnect. The Roon share you are most likely seeing is likely a shared drive. A screenshot of what you see could help.

Hi @chris1 ,

Welcome to the forum and thanks for your message. Can you please share a screenshot of what the device looks like when you navigate to Roon Settings → Audio? Are you able to enable it there?
