Hello @opoandrea ,

Welcome to the forum. Can you try to navigate to Roon Settings → Services and disable/re-enable TIDAL? If that does not work, you can try to clear the TIDAL Roon cache:

  • Exit out of Roon
  • Find and open your Roon database
  • Navigate to /Library/RoonServer/Cache
  • Move the contents of the /Cache folder elsewhere, like your desktop
  • Try restarting Roon and verify if the issue still occurs

Hello, I followed the steps described and now I can no longer listen to Tidal. Roon says there are too many errors and stops playback. The Tidal library is displayed but not can’t reproduce anything. Can you please help me? I’m frustrated. Thanks

Hey @opoandrea,

A simple test, but have you tried restarting your router as well?

Based on your account information, it seems that you’ve been able to access your Tidal account through Roon, are you still having issues getting tracks to sync?

Do you have any active VPNs or firewalls on the Mac Mini running Roon?

I have regular access to the Tidal service but cannot play any songs. I have restarted the router but to no avail. I do not have any firewall or VPN on the Mac Mini. The problem has arisen since I I followed the procedure you indicated by moving the cachet folder to the desktop. Something must have gone wrong during that operation. From that moment on, there is no longer any possibility of enjoying music from Tidal.I attach the images of the errors for completeness. I sincerely hope that it can be resolved soon

Hi @opoandrea,
We activated diagnostics on your account and unfortunately the diagnostics we received only went back to October 24. Did you reinstall RoonServer? If you did did you keep the old folder? That’s where the logs we need would be located.

If those logs have been deleted can you reproduce the synchronization issue and let us know the time that it happened? Then we can get those logs to look into this.

Good morning, I followed the procedure you indicated, that is, I reinstalled Roon and now Tidal is working again. However, the problem of updating Tidal playlists remains. The Roon system does not load songs and playlists properly Out of a total of 212 playlists, sometimes it loads 80, sometimes 100, not updating the full number of songs on the playlists.I am realizing that unfortunately the Tidal integration with the Ron system is not done correctly and in practice it is not usable. I consider Roon to be an excellent system but at this point with obvious limitations. Other services such as Bubble UPNP are perfectly integrated with Tidal and also have the possibility of always having updates “My Daily Discovery” playlist, essential for a Tidal user.
If the problems are not solved, Roon will remain a good system for managing the local library but terrible for streaming services.

Have you tried forcing a sync between Roon and Tidal? You can do that under the settings → services page. This screenshot is for Qobuz but the Tidal force sync looks the same.

Already tried. Unable to sync Tidal library properly, even forcing sync, Roon system does not even display the last sync performed. Tidal does not usable with Roon, unless you want to settle for a partial service

Hey @opoandrea,

Sorry to hear your issues persist. Let’s see if a fresh database may help you:

Let’s try a fresh database and see if your issues persist:

  • Create a Backup of your current database
  • Exit out of Roon + RoonServer (from taskbar area)
  • Navigate to your Roon Database Location
  • Find the folder that says “Roon Server” and “Roon”
  • Rename the “RoonServer” folder to “RoonServer_old” and “Roon” to “Roon_old”
  • Reinstall the Roon App from our Downloads Page to generate a new Roon folder
  • Verify if the issue persists on a fresh database before restoring the backup

Here is the process outlined from a macOS machine:
roonoldmac

Thank you, it’s an operation I’ve already done on your advice. This procedure allowed us to use Tidal again, however the playlist synchronization problems remain.I tried again today, and I can’t get Tidal to play through Roon properly. For example n.204 playlists available on Tidal and after 10 minutes the available playlists become n.71 for example. Alternatively I use Bubble up without any problem

Hi @opoandrea,

We have seen users have a better experience in the past if they change their Router’s DNS servers from the ISP provided ones to Cloudflare DNS, Quad9 or Google DNS. Can you please give this a try and let me know if it helps?
