· The Nucleus boots up and I can connect to it in the Roon app without issue, but I have a question about configuration/storage/attached devices

Describe the issue

I can find the 2TB SSD and format it through the Roon Software, but cannot move files to it. Drag and drop doesn't work and I can't find it through Windows Explorer.

There may be two issues at play here (and I suspect it is the first):

  1. Changes that Microsoft has made to security means that it is no longer possible to access Nucleus or ROCK folders. Then the Group Policy Editor of Windows can be used to work around this.
  2. Windows File Explorer has a habit of not finding non-Windows devices in your network until it’s told to do so. So typing \\nucleusone\ in the address field (note: NOT the Search field) of File Explorer will kick Windows into displaying it again. In this situation, mapping a Windows drive to a folder in the Nucleus will pin it permanently in File Explorer as a drive on your PC.

If you have issue 1, then this article explains how to gain access to the folders on your Nucleus One:
