· My security on Win 11 or Armor is stopping me from logging on my old machine. I bought a new Titan. My security on Win 11 or Armor is stopping me from logging on my NEW machine. I can run the Titan with data on a USB Drive. I can not figure out how to transfer my lifetime license.
Good news — your Roon lifetime license is tied to your Roon account, not to any specific machine. To activate it on your new Titan, simply log in with the same Roon account credentials.
Could you describe what exactly happens when you try to log in — what error message or screen do you see?
If your issue is actually about copying music files or a backup to the Titan’s internal storage, Windows 11 sometimes blocks access to the Titan’s network share due to guest access restrictions. In that case please follow this guide: Enabling SMB Guest Access for Roon Nucleus/ROCK on Windows
Wanted to follow up on this. Have you had a chance to try logging in with the same Roon account on the new Titan, and can you let us know what error message or screen appears if it still fails? If the question is actually about copying music files or a backup to the Titan’s internal storage, we may need to use the SMB guest access steps we mentioned for Windows 11. Let us know what you’re seeing and we’ll take it from there, thanks.
Well, that created a mess. I was using USB drives and the Titan. To get the message I logged off the from the Outlook account and tried to log in with the Google account. Now the network security software is blocking the Titan and I cannot log on with either account. I will have to uninstall the security software to get access unless you have a better idea. The attempted login just got the roon logo for 10 minutes then I shut down the window. Further efforts led to shutting down and restarting the modem, switches, computer, Android tablet for Roon Remote, Titan, USB drives, DAC and amp. That got the system back up and the Titan working again. The error message on the tablet was the web address 192.168.1.20 could not be found. Logging in using my Google account failed
Thank you for the update. We can see your Roon account on our end and your lifetime license is intact. It is registered to the Outlook email address.
To clarify - your Roon account is completely separate from your Google or Microsoft/Outlook accounts. When logging in to Roon, please use the credentials you created at
.
Could you describe what exactly happens when you try to log in on the Titan - does it open a browser and redirect to account.roon.app, or does it just show the Roon logo indefinitely without going anywhere?
