Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

Tell us what's going on

· Can not update to the new version of Roon Server (273, build 1694). My current version: 271, build 1680. The instalation process (via Settings/About) fails with the message: ’there was an error checking for an update’.

You mentioned in the other thread that Roon Server runs as a Docker image on your TVS-473, so this should be quick.

Your container is still running an older image. The current one fixes exactly the error you are seeing.

Please do this in Container Station:

  1. Open the Roon container.
  2. Choose Recreate, and tick “Try pulling the image from the registry before creating the container”.
  3. Let it finish and start.

A plain Restart will not do it, because that keeps the old image. That is why nothing has changed so far.

Your music, database, settings and backups live outside the container, so none of this touches them.

Then please open Roon, go to Settings and then About, and tell us the build it reports.

Hi, Vadim,
The recreate action is available not in the container details (there the recreate action is greyed out) but only in the application screen. After choosing recreate from there the new screen appears but thre is no option “Try pulling the image from the registry before creating the container” available.

Thanks for the update on the Container Station recreate screen. Could you share a screenshot of what you see there? The Screenshots guide shows the easiest way to capture it.

If that option is missing, the screenshot will help us confirm exactly what Container Station is showing on your side.
