I’m assume you dragged the file onto the Roon app, I’d not recommend that way, I would point a file browser to the shared drive on the Nucleus One.
However, first you need to confirm that internal storage drive is available using the Nucleus’s web-admin interface. See below on how to view this page …
Please check on that page and confirm that that storage drive is formatted and available.
As you are having trouble logging in, I would also recommend re-installing the Operating System and Roon Server … all can be done from that page.
If after that you still have trouble, please post some screenshots of what you’re seeing when it goes wrong.
Hi @Jeppe_Michael_Jensen,
Welcome to the Roon community! I’m sorry that a problem is what brought you here for the first time. The troubleshooting steps @Carl suggested are a great place to start. Please give them a try, and let us know if you need any further assistance—we’re happy to help!
You had your private email address showing in that “Welcome back” screenshot. It’s not a good idea to show private email addresses in a public forum - they can be harvested by spambots, so I’ve blanked it out for you.
In that screenshot of the reset database error message I see that the database shows that you have 0% of the 86 GB available and 100% of your music storage available. I suspect that you have copied some music files into the wrong place - putting them on the m.2 SSD (used for the Roon OS and Roon) instead of on the 2.5" internal SSD.
You need to copy them to \\nucleusone\Data\Storage\InternalStorage
Probably best to start over by clicking the Reinstall button for the Nucleus One’s Operating System on that screen.
Then see if you can use your Mac Finder to explore the folders under \\nucleusone\Data to find out where you accidently put your music files and delete them… (files inside the InternalStorage folder can be left - this is the 2.5" SSD)
PS, you didn’t also set up a Backup to store backups on the m.2 SSD, did you? This is also not recommended…
THANKS. I know that I am not wizard ! That helped me a lot. As you can see on the screenshot, I can now log in to the Nucleus One. The InternalStorage is empty. But how do I move my music files to the internal drive ? Should I try to drag the folder “backup-002737” onto the InternalStorage ? Or move individual folders in the music folder?
Does your backup-002737 folder contain music files and folders, or is it actually a backup folder? If the latter, then don’t put it on the Nucleus One.
It looks as though your Music folder is the one that contains music files and folders, so I think you should move the contents of that folder into \\nucleusone\Data\Storage\InternalStorage.
