· Since about 1 month or so there are songs in my listening history i never listend to. Now i‘ve changed my password a few days ago but again there are songs in the activity history that i never listend to. Current Listening history says that i‘ve listened to this songs 2 to 3 hours ago, but at this time i didn‘t use roon for playback.
What can i do?

Did you change the Tidal password? Plays on the streaming service (not using Roon) appear as well, I think?

I have a question about the listening history: is it possible that songs I’ve heard on live radio are now showing up in my listening history? That might explain the entries I don’t recognize. If that’s the case, how can I prevent tracks that are playing on live radio from appearing in my listening history? I have no control over the selection of these tracks—they’re chosen by the radio station and don’t always match my taste. That’s why I don’t want to see them in my listening history.

Yes, if the Live Radio station supplies metadata, this will be picked up by Roon and added to your Play History…

For example, I’ve just listened to a movement from Borodin’s 2nd Symphony on BBC Radio 3, and now it’s there in my History…

Hello @Klaus_Guschok,

As Geoff confirmed, this is expected behavior - when a Live Radio station provides track metadata, Roon picks it up and adds those tracks to your play history automatically. There is currently no option to exclude Live Radio tracks from the history.

If you want to keep your history clean, the only workaround at the moment is to avoid using Live Radio, or to manually clean up the history entries you do not want.

Thank you.

Are there plans to implement an option to exclude live-radio tracks from listening history in the future?

Hello @Klaus_Guschok

Thanks for the feedback here. Since this is not a current feature of Roon, I would recommend also posting your suggestion in the Feature Suggestions section of the site.

Our product team and developers keep a close eye on that category, so that’s definitely the best place to propose a change like this and get feedback from the Community.

I had never noticed this!

But - having now looked - I can see some very odd entries for listening to BBC Radio 3 in the UK. Being a (mostly) classical station, the metadata identifies the compostion, but Roon - I think - then identifies an album ‘source’ which is not necessarily the same as the one the BBC are actually broadcasting.

I’m not a big live radio user but I think this might be new with the rather recent radio improvements?

That would explain why I’d not not noticed it - the last time I looked at play history (ie not recent activity played) would predate those changes. By month, if not years!
