Unclear how to add CDs to my Roon Library

One of the devices on my network is a 2012 macbook pro with a CD player. It is running the Roon software. I’d like to be able to use this device to add CDs to my Roon library and also transfer the CD files to my internal Roon Storage.

Is there a page that describes how to do this? Also, I’ve noted that Roon tends to treat published CD albums as unknown files if they do not come from a streaming service.

How do I get Roon to recognize my legitimate CD license and add it to my library properly with all associated data?

@Howard_Sambol, there are many approaches to ripping CDs locally, adding the metadata, then adding these files to a Nucleus:

I rip my CDs in my library using Apple Music on my Mac (limited to ALAC or AAC (and MP3)) which for me provides the base metadata that then imports to Roon (on a Windows PC) well enough for Roon to add its metadata. Other uses also have had very good results using dBpoweramp and other ripping/metadata tools. Once the files are ripped I send them over the network to my Roon Server W11 PC.
