Unexpected Error adding NAS Network Share

Old thread, but same issue.

  • Trying to add network share for backup fails
  • SMB share is working fine from other clients
  • Same issue with SMB shares on different servers (see below → Network share 1 & 2)
  • Same issue regardless of client (iOS and Mac OS)
  • No requests from Roon Server to SMB server (verified with tcpdump)
  • Roon Core & Remote: v1.8 (build 931)

What is your Core running on, and what is the OS of the device hosting the network share?

Not supported by DSM 7 - use other methods to mount the shares on your NAS and point Roon then to the mounted (local) folders.
