Unexpected songs from radio station appear in 'recently played' and 'history' (ref#DFR635)

Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

· Songs appear in 'recently played' and 'history' from a radio stream, which I don't want and never was before. After several hours this pollutes my listening habits (I'm not a Wham! lover...).

I'm not sure it happens to all radio stations, but at least does so with 'NPO Radio 2, Hilversum, Netherlands'.

It took me a while to figure this one out, it seemed that random songs where played I didn't selected at strange times. But then a pattern occurred to me with the songs from the radio station. Also all the songs played in the radio stream are stated in the history list, but only a few show up in the recently played section.

Hello @Gabriel,

Thank you for the detailed report. When a Live Radio station provides track metadata, Roon logs those tracks to your play history - this is expected behavior.

The most likely explanation for why this recently started is that NPO Radio 2 began broadcasting track metadata where it previously did not. This is on the station’s side and not something we can control.

Unfortunately there is currently no built-in option to exclude Live Radio tracks from your history. We will note this as a feature request.
