Describe the issue

When i play my track-library (including local and tidal) via shuffle mode, roon plays songs which i dont have in bei library. This does not appear after the playlist ends (roon radio), its in the middle of it. The songs are from artists i have in my favorites, but not the songs, which roon plays. Roon Radio is deactivated. Is there any function i dont know and can change?

Hi @robert.kaiserr,
Thanks you for writing in to ask us about this issue. Can you give us the exact steps you followed when this happens? We would like to reproduce this in house if we can. As a stopgap measure you can set these artists to banned. What ban does is prevent the artist, album or track from playing without you manually adding it to your queue. If you have a lot of favorites this could be a burdensome process but should stop this from happening.

Thank you Daniel!

I think i know, from where my irritation came: when i go to the “tracks” in the roon-library and start them playing random, roon also puts songs in the playlist from albums which i have in the library of my tidal account. I mean also songs, wich i havent as the song itself in my library. It will play them, just because i have the album in the tidal-library.

thanks, robert

Hi @robert.kaiserr,

Thank you for the more detailed description.

For due diligence and to make sure I’m interpreting the steps in your post correctly:

  1. You navigate to the Tracks browser in Roon
  2. You use the Play button to click either “Play All” (with Shuffle engaged in the Queue) or “Shuffle”

The queue then populates with tracks that are not in your Roon library?

Can you share an example of a Tidal track that had been queued that is not in your Roon library?

Please share a screenshot of the queue page that includes the non-library as well.

Thank you!
