Description Of Issue

How do I uninstall Roon from the NAS including RAATServer, RoonGoer and RoonServer folders?

Removing the actual app from the QNAP is no problem however the folders can not be removed/deleted.

Thanks,

Rob

Hi…
I have removed the Roon server component from my QNAP NAS however three directories/folders remain on the server:

  • RAAT Server
  • Roon Goer
  • Roon Server
These directories can not be simply deleted using a file manager - even from withing the QNAP access pages.
How can I remove these directories?
    Thanks,
    Rob

Hi @Robert_van_der_Linde,

What happens when you try to delete?

Are you logged in to the QNAP as admin?

Dylan,

I am the server’s admin with full rights. When I tried to delete the folders the server reports in the System Access Log: Error HTTP/HTTPS [File Station] /Multimedia/Music/RAATServer failed to delete

I have now solved the problem and deleted the folders.

Looking at the folder properties, I noticed that the “Owner” of the Roon folders was “admin” - not my user name. I had disabled the user “admin” in my user profiles for security reasons.

Even though the admin account was disabled, the Roon install package still assigned ownership to “admin”.

When I enabled the admin account and logged in using that account, I could delete the folders.

Problem solved…

Regards,

Rob
