Hi! What’s not quite right with Roon?

I have moved your thread Audio Gear Talk > HQ Player since Roon do not the support HQ Player application. @jussi_laako should be able to assist.

If this tirns out to be a Roon issue, the thread can be returned to Support.

You have an active license key? HQPlayer title bar / About dialog shows the product registered to you?

Hi! Yes it does, this is a new behaviour, or perhaps I just got lucky previously.
But starting from a week ago this issue appeared.

Are you latest HQPlayer version or something else?

It is also good to check that Windows Defender is not active, as it has a bad habit of messing with Roon ↔ HQPlayer connections.

Hi Jussi, thanks for replying!
I am currently on version 5.12 since ”If it aint broke”, but I can upgrade and try.

There is no firewall/defender, I have uninstalled all components (security be damned) from this Win11Ent. Ed running on my NUCi7, both HQPlayer and Roon server are on this machine.

The setup is identical to the one in my last thread where I hade some issues with latency/buffering.

I understand that point of view, but current latest version have fixed number of known issues compared to 5.12…

But apparently “if it ain’t broke” is not applying here. So I would suggest to try latest version as first attempt to resolve potential issues.
