Unsyncing qobuz favorites

Is it possible to avoid syncing of my qobuz favorites with the roon library ? In other words, can I have the roon library exclusively for local files and access qobuz only through the qobuz tab? I have my import settings under library all set to “prefer file”, but that’s not stopping roon from retrieving some of the qobuz favorites. It is not syncing normally, but almost every time I log into roon it loads a few of the qobuz favorites into its library. Seems like a glitch or odd behavior. For instance , I have àbout 2000 favorite albums in qobuz and right now there are 150 showing in the roon library. Already, reinstalled roon, deleting all relevant files, but issue continues. I’m using roon 1.8

If you are signed into Qobuz in Roon, then syncing of items favourited in Qobuz is the default behaviour.

You can either sign out of Qobuz in Roon or disable the integration in the Settings > Services > Qobuz > Edit screen.

However, this will remove the Qobuz page and other integration features (e.g. Discography and global Search) as well. You can’t just turn off the sync process.

And - there is a current issue with Qobuz sync, which is what you are currently experiencing. Roon Labs are aware and working on a fix.

Thank you. That’s weird and sucks that unsyncing is not an option in roon. There are so many options for so many silly things, I would expect something like that would be easily possible…

I suspect that Roon Labs see it as fundamental to the integration and its USP.

What’s usp?

Sure but why having an option not to sync a streaming service library go against that? Nope, it makes no sense. I suppose either the idea didn’t cross their mind, or it might create some obscure technical issue that they don’t want to deal with.

There’s got to be a way though, I’ll keep looking

Because then there is no seamless integration between local and streaming

Do you know what the word option means?..

Yes. I also know what it means to add options that fundamentally fragment the user experience because I’ve delivered professional software for millions of users for over two decades.

Not everyone you disagree with is an idiot, to use the word from your vocabulary

You may not like it but then go to Feature Suggestions to complain

Hi @Marcel_Dove,

Re having an option to disable Qobuz favorite sync, I’d suggest suggest creating a topic in Feature Suggestions, that section of the forum is monitored by Roon’s Product team, though they rarely comment.

A side question if I may …

Just in case your not aware, Roon 1.8 is no longer supported by Roon, this doesn’t mean they will not help you with a support issue. However the 1.8 code base (and hence functionality) is frozen.

Is there a specific reason you’re still on 1.8?

I know some people didn’t want to switch to 2.0 due to it’s “alway online” requirement but this is no longer the case.
