LMS Squeezebox support has for long be a nice addition to Roon, allowing the direct connection of legacy Squeezebox players.
LMS is still in active development under its new name Lyrion Music Server, and 100% open source !
LMS 7.9 so called “slimproto” communication protocol is now allowing high PCM rates and native DSD streaming, LMS 6 being limited to 192kHz PCM and DoP.
The request is for Roon to update it’s slimproto component to the latest LMS 7.9 to ensure high performance and compatibility.
